LEX Diagnostics is a diverse and energetic team of people motivated to redefine point-of-care diagnostics. To that end, we are laser-focussed to launch our first product: an ultra fast PCR test.

Our team and the culture we embody are our greatest assets. Our decisions are driven by customer needs, not technological interest. Our people believe in compromising their technical area for the greater good of the product. Working at a startup has its own specific challenges; we display resilience and grit, and approach challenges with a sense of urgency. We recognise and celebrate success as a team because we all contribute to technical areas that are not always our own.

If you are passionate about changing healthcare, tackling difficult technical challenges and working with a collaborative team, please see our active roles below or contact us with a CV and Cover Letter.

We are looking to fill the following positions and welcome direct applications from people with skills and experience in the following areas:

Head of Reagent Development
We’re developing diagnostics at the speed of life. Want to lead the team building the reagents that make it possible? If you know your way around freeze drying cycles, enzyme stability, and you’re motivated to turn that into something with real global impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Integration Scientist
We’re looking for an Integration Scientist who loves working on complex lab instrumentation, has a passion for getting things to just work, and thrives in a team where everyone rolls up their sleeves.
Manufacturing Engineer
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimise the processes that drive our consumables manufacturing. You’ll be leading process development, supporting high-volume production transfers, and ensuring everything runs smoothly—from yield targets to safety protocols.
Mechanical Engineer
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems and turning ideas into manufacturable solutions. You’ll spend as much of your time in CAD as in the lab, conceptualising, modelling, testing and refining designs that need to perform flawlessly when they leave the lab and become real, working products.
Product Design Engineer
We are currently improving and preparing to industrialise our ultra-fast PCR platform, as well as starting to work on its next generation. This means we need a Product Design Engineer to design the product, and build the jigs, fixtures, and subsystems that bring our platform to life. Is your superpower turning big (and sometimes vague) ideas into robust, elegant designs? Then let's talk!
Project Engineer
We’re looking for a Project Engineer to help drive the transition that takes our technology into mass production. We need you, a person that’s hands on, practical, collaborative, and ready to own key engineering projects within our manufacturing operation.
R&D Test & Development Engineer
We need an R&D Test & Development Engineer, or as we like to call you, the person with the R&D hat on who makes things work… Whether it’s setting up an experiment, building a fixture, or digging into data, you’ll be the one who ensures ideas turn into reliable results. Central to our R&D process, testing, troubleshooting, and refining both full systems and subcomponents, your work will provide the data and practical solutions that keep development moving forward.
Reagent Development Scientist
We’re looking for a Reagent Development Scientist to help develop temperature-stable, lyophilised reagents that perform under pressure, literally and figuratively. This is a hands on role, perfect for a scientist who thrives in the lab, enjoys complex problem solving, and wants to help build next generation diagnostics in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
